Christmas Boxes

At Door of Hope Children's Home the children get to experience the Kingdom of God as they are rescued from hopeless situations. What an opportunity! Every year we get to be a small part of this blessing. We begin in July by packing 2 gallon ziplock bags filled with goodies for each child and send them in very large boxes literally by ship to the island of Palawan in the Philippines in time for a special Christmas party. We start in July because it takes a minimum of 3 months for the ship to take our freight which is the most economical and duty-free way.

There are three different ways you can take part in this blessing:

You can purchase gifts for a child and mail them to us. (We need to have them in hand by July 28th, 2014.) On the form below, you can select if you'd like to purchase gifts for an older or younger boy or girl. For gift ideas, please refer to the following shopping list. Please mail your gifts in a 2-gallon ziploc bag (or 2 1-gallon ziploc bags) to the address on the "thank you" page that will appear after you fill out the form.
You can give $25 to enable a bag to be filled in your name without having the extra shipping expense if you do not live locally.
Another way you can help is to donate towards the shipping of these containers. It costs approximately $120 per box and we fill three to four boxes with the gifts.

Your interest in blessing these young ones is a gift from God. "Give, and it will be given to you. Good measure, pressed down, shaken together, running over, will be put into your lap. For with the measure you use it will be measured back to you." Luke 6:38 (ESV)

We have a wonderful and very helpful relationship with Faith Tabernacle church of Elmira, New York. They are willing to be a clearing house for all funds designated for the Door of Hope Children's Home. They have agreed to do all the necessary book keeping at no charge. They will pass on to the Door of Hope 100% of the gifts with nothing deducted for their labor or overhead expenses. The leadership of the Door of Hope has a relationship with Faith Tabernacle that is very stable and mutually trusting, going back more than thirty-five years.
